Mr Huy Hoang - Co-Founder Executive Director

Before starting Ingate Capital, he was one of the Partners of VinChi Capital, an offshore Investment Fund investing in equities and real estate opportunities in Vietnam. Before that Mr. Hoang was responsible for all Vietnam related investment activities for Softbank Investment International Strategic (“SIIS”), a leading regional Investment Firm. He was also an Associate with Deutsche Bank’s M&A Group in London.

In addition, Mr. Hoang has extensive general management, operational analysis and improvement experience from Europe, North and South America within the oil & gas, software and health care industries. His experience also includes top management experience from multinational corporations such as UL, Underwriters Laboratories, the world’s largest safety certification company.

Mr. Hoang holds a M.Sc. Degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He speaks Vietnamese, English, Norwegian, German and Spanish.

Mr Calvin Lam - Managing Partner

Mr. Lam licensed California General Contractor has over 18 years of real estate development experience from Vietnam, the US, China and Mexico. Mr. Lam was a former partner at Solnik, Ward Partners, a real estate and development firm in Beverly Hills, California.

Mr. Lam also founded and was the CEO of Avus, which later became one of the top 20 IT distributors in the United States.

Before joining Ingate Capital, Mr. Lam was the CEO of Lien Mien Real Estate, a local real estate development company with more than US$ 170MN real estate portfolio.

Mr. Lam is adjunct lecturer in the RMIT MBA program and received his B.A. from UC Berkeley and M.B.A. Anderson School of Management, UCLA. He speaks English, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Teo-Jiou.

Mr Vinh Le - Development Director

Mr. Le has over 10 years experience in real estate development and consulting. As the former director of investment and business development at Phat Dat Corporation, he managed the US$90 MN Ever Rich project, responsible for financial feasibility, planning & designing construction and sale & marketing. Additionally, Mr. Le also successfully managed land acquisition and sales of real estate projects in Saigon South whose total value exceeds US$740 MN.

He also worked as Senior Manager of NAI (Vietnam), a commercial real estate consulting firm and Nam Long Corporation, a leading local developer, as Vice Director - Project Management.

Mr. Le holds a Masters in Development Economics from ISS in The Netherlands and a B.A. from the University of Economics in HCM City. He is also a Adjunct lecturer at Vietnam Morcom (the University of Economics). He speaks Vietnamese and English.

Mr Lam Cao - Legal Counsel

Mr. Cao serves as Ingate’s General Counsel. He was formerly Chief Legal Counsel at Viet Fund Management Company, Vietnam’s first Fund Management in Vietnam with assets under management of US$ 300MN. Before joining Viet Fund, he was a lawyer with one of Vietnam’s leading law firm, YKVN and also served as Lawyer at Department of Justice in HCM City.
